Over the past four years, the Grand Bend Baseball Project, consisting of four volunteers, has not only organized and managed youth baseball in Grand Bend, they have also raised funds to enhance and repair the Grand Bend baseball diamond. They have worked at this year round. They not only prepare for the next season of baseball but also look for ways to raise money, find sponsors, track down leagues and gather volunteers. Our focus has been on giving the youth of Grand Bend a safe, healthy and fun sport that encourages them to become more than they already are.

In truth we have had an uphill battle. In the four years, where each year baseball has expanded, we have received no support from Lambton Shores. We have had to use equipment that was 10 years old, we have had to beg for field maintenance and continue to plan for improvements that have had no promise of being accomplished even if we had all the funds.
