The Lakeshore Advance - August 15th, 2007 - Bayview offers golf challenge - by Kimberly Powell. Bayview Golf Course has a really good range to accommodate low handicap players and high handicap players.
Bayview, located seven miles north of Grand Bend on Highway 21 has been owned and run by the Masse family since 1981. Archie, Jim, Maggie and Chris are all in on the swing of things.
Chris says the 18 hole, 72 par irrigated course is easy to walk and is known for its greens. It is well groomed and conditioned and provides a lot of ponds and bunkers.
The signature holes are eight and thirteen. The golfer playing hole eight has to have a good drive to be able to make it over a big pond on their second shot. Number 13 is well guarded by water and a ravine and the golfer needs a precise shot to get the ball onto the green in two shots.
When not golfing, Bayview provides a basic menu in its 140 seat licensed restaurant. Tournaments are welcome and can be catered for if preferred.
Monday mornings start senior's day, men's league the following night.
Bayview is open to the public to enjoy a challenging round with a little sun and on-shore breezes.
