Children are a huge focus of our community.  Fundraising efforts are currently underway to raise money to help with the reconstruction of our local public school.  Previous fundraising efforts include the hosting of the 2001 Canada Summer Games for youth, and the Rotary hiking and bicycle trail as well as many others.

There are a lot of activities available for full time resident children as well as visitors to our community.  An example of a shared resources is the Alahambra Play Area behind the Lambton Shores Ambulance Service.  Take a look at this newly built facility and you will understand the level of community spirit in Grand Bend.  This facility replaces the long standing play area beside the Legion.  This brand new facility is built to accommodate wheel chairs and allows for access by all children.  It is located beside the Soccer fields.
