P.O.G. INC., (Pickling Onion Group) has been a vegetable processor for over 25 years specializing in Silver Skin Onions for the pickle, canned vegetable and frozen food industry.

Fresh product is available in season mid July through August. Shipped in refrigerated vans, packed 1,200 lb. cardboard totes, poly lined. For the pickle and canned vegetable industry, Silver Skin Onions are packed in vinegar or salt brine in 300 lb. net barrels, shipped year round as needed by most major plants throughout Canada and the United States.

Sizing ranges from 10-14MM, 14-16MM, 10-16MM, 16-18MM, 18-21MM, 21-23MM, 23-25MM, 25-38MM and 28-64MM.

Most of the above sizes are also available frozen I. Q. F. shipped in 1,000-1,200 lb. totes, 50 lb. boxes and also retail pac.

Cauliflower is also processed and packed in 300 lb. barrels in a salt brine. Whole heads or florets are offered.

Currently a pilot project is under way to grow and process Mini Carrots and also Baby Round (Parisienne) Carrots. These will be shipped fresh in season, September, October, November and will be I. Q. F.'d to ship through the year to major frozen vegetable companies for vegetable blends or straight carrot pacs.
