Grand Bend – Beaches are open and the water is warmer than usual.
This year do yourselves a favour and visit the very Best Beach in all of Ontario! Fall is on Sept 22nd and there is lots to do around Grand Bend. It leads to the Winter of 2023 which is going to be great. The beaches stay open without lifeguards but the temperature on the beach and in the water will be good until Thanksgiving. Don’t miss your opportunity to join us! Make your reservations now!! Our restaurants and cottages for rent are all spruced up and ready to welcome you. Our store owners are staying open to serve you! The potatoes are being chipped and along with the burgers are ready for you at Denny’s and other fine restuarants. The musicians have been hired and are waiting on the decks of the restaurants to entertain you. Our restaurants have all opened for take out and patio dining and that is a sure sign that Fall is soon to be here.
It is time to start planning your 2023 visit to Grand Bend now. We were very busy this year due to the new people from Toronto and area flooding to The Bend to enjoy our safe town! Next year our US visitors will be back in droves so start booking your cottages or hotels! Look at where you want to eat or play golf. Start looking through our pages and make reservations before you miss out.
There were great fireworks on the beach this July 1, 2022 – it was a fantastic event. The Canada Day Celebrations Committee will be releasing further details about 2023 at a later date: We had a virtual event for last year, watch for future announcements about next year.
Book your hotels, B & B’s, cottages, camping spots now before they are all gone. Fall Winter is a great season in our area. It is a lot quieter but trails and the beach and the Pinery appeal to families. Come see our beach house and children’s water and play area in 2022 and enjoy a free concert at sundown on the beach. Our 25 mile long sandy beach draws people to our town to swim and they stay to enjoy our restaurants and nightlife.
People of a like mind move to our community to advance their quality of life or just to love the continuous beaches, warm waters and sandy lake bottoms even if just for the afternoon. Do you want to take the family to a quiet beach where you can enjoy the sun and surf or do you want to join the crowds and see and be seen on Main Beach with thousands of others? The North beach at the west end of Main Street in Grand Bend is full of young sun worshipers. South beach, at the bottom of River Road over the bridge is full of families and more mature sun bathers enjoying watching the children and grand children run in and out of the water.
We have so much to offer visitors to our town. We have excellent shopping, fantastic food, golfing, skydiving, The Pinery Provincial Park with clean water and miles and miles of beaches for swimming. Enjoy parasailing, water craft rentals, art galleries, live music and so much more. We are a thriving community with new housing developments starting all the time. We have a medical center that looks to be the focus on health. Our seniors have access to all that the town has to offer. We have wheelchair access sidewalks, an elevator at the beach house allows everyone access to the viewing area up top and the wheelchair friendly walkway across the beach area allows everyone to view our glorious sunsets and dip their toes in the water.
