Village Information for Grand Bend

WE LOVE LIVING IN GRAND BEND

The citizens of Grand Bend come together when needed to create a better community.  Travel down our friendly Main Street and enjoy the new streetscape.  The sound of water pulls you down to the beautiful new Beach House.  New street lamps, concrete benches and paving stone sidewalks.  New road surface, lots of room on new wheelchair friendly sidewalks to stroll or sit and enjoy the view.   It is extremely beautiful and will just get better and better. The beach remains the same but the facilities and play areas make it much more family friendly.

Our town has been here since the 1800’s and people have been coming to visit us since shortly after.  We have beautiful residential communities both north and south of town filled with families looking to enjoy their slice of heaven.  Our tourism industry has grown and matured through the years and we have recently gone all out to make our visitors happy when they enter our town.  Our town will be a new experience when you next visit.

We invite you to make Grand Bend a summer home or better yet,  move up and join us year round.  We are a growing, thriving village.  Just look at our brand new public school.  We are looking for young families to make the school population grow.  Our real estate agents are the best at putting people together with homes.

Grand Bend is a caring community.  When we need to improve the quality of life in our town we always find a fundraising way to do it.  We have collectively raised money for the Rotary Nature Trail, a biking/hiking trail all the way from Grand Bend to the Pinery Provincial Park.  We raised money for the construction of a new beach house at the main beach, host of the 2001 Canada Summer Games.  We also  raised One Million Dollars to reconstruct our local Elementary School.

Our Village Services are available for use by our visitors as well.  We realize that tourism is a vital component of the life of our village and we strive to make our guests happy.  Our Marina is accessed by thousands each year.  Our Marina staff are friendly and helpful.

We have events happening throughout the village all year long to entertain and inform.  Past events have been televised beach volleyball, Sandcastle Days, Buffalo Burgerfest and the list goes on.   There is always something going on in Grand Bend.
